The Phenomenology of Digital Perception course is typical taught each fall at CCA. This was the first time the course was taught and focused on a survey of the overlap between Architecture and Video Games. Students compared video game reviews and critiques with architectural theory, while juggling the learning curve of developing interactive software/spaces and video game engines. Each student designed and built a spatial experience within the UNITY or Unreal video game engine and presented this space to an invited jury of architects, video game designers, video game enthusiasts and technologists.
